Earlier this year I attended Alt Summit. It was a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to go and when I won a ticket to attend, I was so excited, thrilled, and grateful that I would be able to meet such amazing and inspirational people. One of the first people I met at this conference was Elise from EliseBlaha.com. We went to the same sponsored dinner together and she was so sweet to the nervous wreck that I was. Sadly, I’d never heard of her or her blog before but after a night of talking and getting to know her, I checked out her blog and was SO IMPRESSED! I loved it. She is so creative, has amazing taste, and is the ultimate do it your self kind of girl.
I’m Elise and I have been blogging for almost nine years. I live in San Diego, California with my husband Paul and one year old daughter Ellerie. I run a handmade shop called Elise Joy and I am currently in the middle of a year long project called MAKE29. I host a weekly podcast called Elise Gets Crafty that focuses on blogging, running a small business, finding inspiration and creativity. Right now I am working on getting our house completely decorated before we move again in two and a half years (my husband is in the Navy) and making plans for a completely new product launch.
