One of my favorite interior design blogs is Little Green Notebook. Jenny Komenda, who is the brains behind the blog has high end taste, but shows how can do it on a diyer’s budget. She’s my kind of girl. She did a post back where she painted a bust and used it to showcase her jewelry. I’ve had this idea in my head and a couple weeks ago I visited HomeGoods and found this white bust on clearance. It was cheap and thought it would be a great addition to my bedroom dresser to showcase, the only pretty piece of jewelry I own, haha. The bust was white and thought it could use some color. I decided to use Rust-oleum’s Paint+Primer in Lemon Grass in satin. I loved the chartreuse color. This project was really easy. Make sure to get the spray painter grip, this will save your fingers lives and makes spray painting so much easier. I did three coats of paint and let it dry a couple of hours in between each coat, and that’s it. This took me one afternoon. Here is what it looks like on my bedroom dresser.
