When I was pregnant with my daughter I never got any “real” maternity pictures taken of myself. I never got around to it and end up regretting not getting them done. I didn’t have any great looking photos of my while I was pregnant and really wanted my daughter to see how I looked and felt during her pregnancy. For this second pregnancy I knew that I wanted to get some legit pictures taken because I want to cherish and remember what was going on in my life during this pregnancy, and have my son be able to see these as he grows up. I’m kind of sentimental like that.
I was so lucky to have Izzy Hudgins and her awesome stylist Audrey Wagner King from French Knot Studios who both live in the deep South in town for Altitude Summit. I’m always nervous whenever I get pictures taken of just myself. I don’t know why, I feel like it brings out my insecurities, makes me feel vulnerable, and the reality sets in that I can’t hide behind someone. I’m so glad for these two gals because they made me feel so at ease and by the end of our shoot I felt like the three of us were bosom friends, just like Anne and Diana from Anne of Green Gables. I love how these turned out, thanks Izzy and Audrey!
