Hello friends. It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged. 2015 was a whirlwind for me. I had Rheno, my husband finished his Master’s and started a new job. With two young kids, it’s really hard to do everything. I found myself feeling overwhelmed with my duties as a mom, wife, housekeeper, chef, blogger, and business owner. I found myself feeling guilty because I wasn’t able to spend all day blogging, and to be completely real, I didn’t really want to do it. I have some blogging friends who work 6-8 hours a day, sacrificing everything, sleep deprived, and I realized I didn’t want that. Plus, I grew tired of all of the promoting, pinning, writing, taking and editing pictures, the managing and dedication it takes to run a successful blog. I found myself feeling not happy and I wasn’t enjoying the process.
This year I’ve had a hard realization that I want to choose the type of life I want. I want to be there for my children, raise them, have flexibility, and do the things I really love. So I had to prioritize, let go, and say no to a lot of things this year. It was hard, but I feel happier, less overwhelm, and most important, I’m finally doing the things I really love.
I’ve been spending most of my extra time, which isn’t a lot of it, on a new venture. I started a new site called Bra Fittings By Court where I’m focusing on my passion and love for helping women find bras that fit correctly. Now women can schedule appointments with me on my website, shop the bras I recommend to my clients, and check out all of my bra posts on there. I hope to grow this little business of mine and see the influence it makes in women’s lives.
I hope I can find time to dedicate to blogging here on Fry Sauce & Grits in the future. I really do love Fry Sauce & Grits, but right now in my life it has to take a back seat. I’m going to keep the blog up, and hopefully down the road, I can feel inspired and motivated again to keep up Fry Sauce & Grits. For those of you who follow us, you can follow me on my bra ventures on Instagram, it’s a jolly good ole time. Head over to my new site www.brafittingsbycourt.com, I hope to see you there.
Thank you for your love, kind words, and support over these past three years. I look at where I was three years ago and I’ve grown so much personally and emotionally. I look forward to seeing where I am in the next three years.
